Prescott Airport and ERAU to host Regional Flight Team Competition

Plans are underway to host the regional flight team competition at the Prescott Airport November 8th through the 13th of this year.  The regional competition will bring in college flight teams from around the greater South West region for competitions involving aerial skill.  Similar to the event hosted in 2008, Prescott Airport and ERAU are partnering closely to make this event a great success.  25 aircraft and teams are expected to participate in this event.  Airport users can expect a high amount of pedestrian and aircraft traffic to be utilizing the North Ramp during this event.  Additionally, the events will utilize runway 21R/3Land Taxiway A.  Users can expect restrictions of Twy A and Rwy 21 Respecially on November 11th and 12th.  Please watch for the NOTAMs for this event.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

NEW YAVAPAI COLLEGE AND NORTH-AIRE FLIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM CLEARED FOR TAKEOFF





New Yavapai College and North-Aire Flight Training Program Cleared for Takeoff

Enrolling now for Spring semester

For Immediate Release

PRESCOTT, Ariz./Oct. 21, 2011 --- North-Aire Aviation LLC announces it has been chosen to provide the flight-training component of Yavapai College's new Professional Airplane Pilot Flight Program.

Starting in January, this relationship allows both veterans and civilians to couple an Associate of Applied Science Degree with advanced flight certifications, providing a career path into the aviation industry. The program allows veterans who qualify for the post 9/11 GI Bill Program to take fixed wing flight courses through Yavapai College.

According to North-Aire Aviation spokesperson Justin Scott, "Through our program's unique partnership with Yavapai College, veterans and civilians alike have access to an FAA-certified Part 141, Part 61 flight school through a public community college."

North-Aire has been in business since 1973 as a Cessna pilot center providing private pilot through ATP certificates to students representing all 50 states and 47 countries.

Other certificates offered include high altitude and aerobatic training as well as seaplane ratings and tail wheel endorsements.

North-Aire Attends Annual Phoenix Area College Fair with Yavapai College


October 3rd 2011

On Sunday North-Aire’s, Spencer Livengood and Mike Coligny along with Cornelia Moskov attended
the Annual Phoenix Area College Fair held at the Phoenix Convention Center. The attendance was
in partnership with and in anticipation of Yavapai College’s and North-Aire’s forthcoming Airplane
Professional Pilot Program (pending board approval). Local High School juniors and seniors from the region had the opportunity to check out over 100 Colleges and Universities from throughout the United States.

With over 5,000 attendee’s, everyone was kept busy answering the many questions about Yavapai
College and their aviation programs as well as flight training in general.
