North-Aire invited Julie Filucci from Cessna to tour the North-Aire Flight Line. North-Aire has been a Certified Cessna Pilot Center for over 20 years and looks forward to taking part of the technologically advanced training programs that are being released by Cessna, King Schools and Redbird Sims.
Julie also met with representatives from Yavapai College to discuss the pending relationship between North-Aire and Yavapai College to provide an Associates of Applied Science Professional Pilot - Airplane degree program. Through the discussions we have found how much Cessna's new innovative programs will fit in with the degree program and the technology driven goals of Yavapai College. Contract negotiations are under way and pending board approval.
Julie provided an overview of the Sport/Private and Instrument Courses which are now available ONLINE. This courseware allows you to do your training anytime, anywhere, with no software to download on your computer. If you are an Ipad user, you are able to complete your training via Ipad with the appropriate Flash applications.
Julie also explained more about the Cessna Pilot Center's Guided Independent Flight Training (GIFT) Program. GIFT is a technologically advanced flight training program which utilizes Cessna Aircraft, King Schools Training Courses and Redbird Sims to reduce training time and cost by allowing the students to do guided flight training in the simulator, without an instructor, to be better prepared for the flight lesson with their instructor.
North-Aire is excited to take advantage of these resources as a Cessna Pilot Center so as to continue to provide the highest level of training at the most reasonable cost.
